Setup guide

Set up IPTV on a Fire TV Stick

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick turns any TV with an HDMI port into a smart screen. It is an affordable way to watch your Vepix TV subscription, even on an older TV. This guide covers installing the app, adding your subscription and useful settings.

IPTV on a Fire TV Stick

What you need

  • A Fire TV Stick (preferably a recent model, 4K if your TV is 4K), plugged in and connected to the internet.
  • An Amazon account set up on the stick.
  • A connection of about 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K.
  • Your Vepix TV login details, received by email.

Which app should I choose?

  • IPTV Smarters Pro: a complete interface with live TV, movies and series, compatible with Xtream Codes and M3U.
  • XCIPTV Player: lighter, it stays smooth on less powerful sticks.

Step 1: install the app

From the Amazon Appstore

  1. On the home screen, open search (magnifying glass) or say the name of the app into the voice remote.
  2. Type “IPTV Smarters” or “XCIPTV”.
  3. If the app appears, select Download, then Open.

If the app is not in the Appstore

You can install it with the Downloader app, available in the Amazon Appstore, as long as you only download the file from the publisher’s official website: http://yootimes.tech/xciptv

  1. Install Downloader from the Appstore.
  2. Open Settings, then My Fire TV. If the Developer options menu does not appear, open About and click your device name seven times to show it.
  3. In Developer options, allow Downloader to install unknown apps.
  4. Open Downloader, enter the official address of the file, then install the app.
  5. Once the app is installed, you can delete the downloaded file to free up space.

Step 2: add your subscription

In the email containing your Vepix TV login details, you will find two ways to connect: an M3U link and Xtream Codes details (server address, username and password). When the app offers both, choose Xtream Codes: the programme guide and content categories are loaded automatically. The details are explained in M3U link or Xtream Codes: what’s the difference?

With IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. Open the app and accept the terms of use.
  2. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
  3. Fill in the fields: a name of your choice (for example “Vepix TV”), the username, the password, then the server address (URL) exactly as in the email.
  4. Confirm with Add user. The app downloads the channels, movies and series, then shows the home screen.

To use the M3U link instead, choose Load your playlist or file/URL and paste the link.

With XCIPTV Player

  1. Open the app.
  2. On the login screen, enter the username, password and server address you received by email.
  3. Confirm with Sign in. The content loads in a few moments.

Step 3: improve smoothness

  • The Fire TV Stick only has a Wi-Fi connection: keep your router close by or use the 5 GHz network.
  • For maximum stability, a Fire TV-compatible Ethernet adapter plugs into the stick’s power port.
  • Avoid plugging the stick directly behind the TV without the supplied HDMI extender: the TV can interfere with Wi-Fi reception.
  • Regularly clear the app’s cache in Settings, Applications, Manage installed applications.

Common problems

The connection fails

Check the server address (with http:// and the port, if any), the username and the password. Copying mistakes are the leading cause of failure: see M3U or Xtream Codes.

The stick is slow or the picture stutters

Close background apps, restart the stick (Settings, My Fire TV, Restart) and read IPTV buffering or freezing.
